Personal Expenses

The Oratorio Society is a volunteer organization, but we require dues to cover necessary expenses we naturally incur, such as purchase of the music we sing. Other expenses are listed in the sections below.

Although not required, you are encouraged to support the Oratorio Society as a donor, if possible. All contributions are appreciated, and you will be recognized in the concert programs for your gift. You may contribute online using MasterCard or VISA. For contributions by check, please complete the Donor Form and give this, along with your check, to the Treasurer.

Dues

The amount is determined annually by the Board of Directors.  For the 2007-2008 season, Dues are $100.  Checks may be made payable to: TOSCA, and please note the same in the Memo section of your check.  Dues must be paid within the first month of the season (or of the time you join the group), unless special arrangements are made with the Treasurer, currently Celia Lankford.

Dues include the cost of the music, which is yours to mark however you like. At the end of the season, you may keep the music or donate it back to the Society.

Concert Attire

Women are required to purchase concert dresses that are ordered by Joanie McGuire.  Please see her as soon as possible after joining the group to place your order.  The cost is around $60.

Men are required to purchase or rent tuxedos.

Please check the section on Concert Attire for additional requirements.

Rehearsal CDs and Concert CDs

You are encouraged to purchase rehearsal CDs to facilitate your mastery of the music. The cost is minimal and defrays the cost of the disks.

Concerts are recorded and CDs of the concerts can be purchased. Prices are set to cover the cost of producing the CDs.
